Homework

1️⃣ Prepare a space for your dog and take a photo
– Set up a resting area (bed or crate) in a calm spot, free from drafts and noise.
– Take a photo of the prepared space and—if you’d like—keep it as a reference for future adjustments.

2️⃣ Plan a daily routine for the first week
– Write down approximate times for meals, walks, rest, and play.
– It doesn’t need to be exact—what matters is creating a consistent rhythm that helps your dog feel safe.

3️⃣ Establish household rules
– Will your dog be allowed to sleep in your bed? Sit on the couch?
– Which areas are off-limits? What behaviors are encouraged, and which are not?
Write them down—preferably on paper or in a notebook. Consistency starts with clarity!

4️⃣ Observe and record for 3 days
– Each day, note meal and walk times, how long your dog slept, how they behaved, what stressed them, and what made them happy.
– This will help you notice how your dog is adapting and respond quickly if any issues appear.
